Preschool FAQs for Parents

Children use Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia every day through stories, rhymes, songs, activities and conversation. We encourage them to speak and express their ideas as they build confidence in each language. If you are considering a Chinese primary school, talk to a teacher about your child’s Mandarin and preparation for the transition.

Teachers model how to take turns, use gentle hands and speak kindly. Through shared activities and play, children practise cooperating and responding to one another.

We work with parents on a settling plan that suits the child, starting with short separations and building up gradually. A small bolster or doll from home can offer comfort; other toys are discouraged. Talk to the teacher about changes in routine or moving to a new class, so you can prepare together.

Confirm the arrival time and drop-off point with your chosen branch before your child starts. Ask who will welcome your child, where to hand over and how collection works. Arrangements can differ between branches and programmes.
